Awards & Recognition

Alumni Awards

The SPH Alumni Society seeks opportunities to recognize the outstanding achievements of its alumni at various stages of their public health careers.  In 2013, the Society Board established three new alumni awards to join the Gaylord Anderson Leadership Award in honoring SPH alumni. The Outstanding Mentor Award was established in 2017. All nominations are eligible for three years. The awards are presented at the annual SPH Celebration of Giving.

Nominations are being accepted until January 31, 2018 for 2018 awards. Awards will be presented at the SPH Alumni Awards and Celebration of Giving on April 24, 2018. If you have questions about alumni awards, please contact Heidi Mastrud, director of alumni relations, at goldm120@umn.edu or 612.625.2443.
